Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma continues its strong run at the box office, inching towards the ₹100-crore milestone within just four days of release.
Despite a mild weekday slowdown, the Maddock Films horror-comedy has impressed both at home and abroad, cementing its place as a crowd favourite.
The vampire-themed entertainer collected ₹65.15 crore net (₹78.20 crore gross) in India during its first four days, kicking off with a stellar ₹24 crore on Diwali.
Although collections dipped slightly through the week—down to ₹9.55 crore on Friday—the film maintained steady momentum with only modest decline
Overseas, Thamma picked up pace over the weekend after a slow start. The film has already grossed nearly $1.6 million internationally and is on track to cross the $3 million mark within its opening week.
This takes its total worldwide earnings to an impressive ₹93 crore in just four days, surpassing Maddock Films’ Bhool Chuk Maaf (₹89 crore).
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma follows a journalist (Ayushmann) who finds himself entangled in a vampire power struggle involving characters played by Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Part of the expanding Maddock Horror Comedy Universe—connected to Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya—the film has earned praise for its witty writing, striking visuals, and star-studded cameos.
With its global success and growing word-of-mouth, Thamma is set to become another blockbuster in Maddock’s supernatural franchise.
