One Dead After Hit-and-Run in West Auckland’s Henderson
A person has died following a hit-and-run incident in West Auckland’s Henderson early this morning. Reported by RNZ
Police said emergency services were called to the intersection of Tango Place and Larnoch Road around 2.50am, where an injured individual was found lying on the road. Despite efforts from first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now working to determine what happened. Cordons have been set up and a scene examination is underway. Residents can expect a heightened police presence in the area as inquiries continue.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident or has not yet come forward. They are particularly interested in CCTV or dashcam footage from the Larnoch Road area between 2am and 3am.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police via 105 or at 105.police.govt.nz. Anonymous reports can also be made through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
