A 30-year-old man is facing two charges of murder, following the discovery of two bodies in Auckland's Wattle Downs last week, but police say it's possible more than one person is involved.
Emergency services were called to a house on Gambare Place at 1.45pm on Thursday last week after a report of person armed with a handgun at the property and a woman injured.
When police arrived two people were found dead due to gunshots.
Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Va'aelua said a police investigation was ongoing to figure out if more than one person was involved.
"We are pleased to have been able to charge this man in relation to this tragic incident, however the investigation remains ongoing and we are not ruling out any further arrests."
The 30-year-old man was expected to appear at the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
