Embark on a Gastronomic Adventure Through South India

Kari Virundhu 2.0 offers an unforgettable culinary journey with a menu showcasing a wide array of delectable vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Each dish, from fragrant biryanis to flavourful curries, is lovingly prepared by our team of chefs and volunteers and served on traditional banana leaves, enhancing the authenticity of the dining experience.

Celebrating Diversity and Togetherness

The festival not only celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Tamil Nadu but also embodies the values of inclusivity and community. "This event transcends cultural boundaries, inviting people from all walks of life to experience a cherished tradition from the remote parts of Tamil Nadu," says Dr. Lux Selvanesan, Chairman of Arasan NZ Trust. "It's a powerful way to welcome and integrate diverse populations in New Zealand, especially in Auckland, one of our most diverse cities."

Culinary Excellence Through Collaboration

The festival's menu is a testament to collaborative efforts involving several South Indian chefs and culinary experts based in Auckland and Hamilton, ensuring an authentic taste and variety. "We have taken great care to design a menu that not only celebrates South Indian cuisine but also showcases the diversity within our culinary traditions," states Mr. Sowndra Palinisamy, President of TANZI and the lead of the cooking department.
