Aditi Rao Hydari On SLB's 'Khana Mat Khana' Directive In Heeramandi

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming series, Heeramandi, has been generating significant anticipation among viewers. Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays the character of Bibbojaan in this grand production, recently shared details about her experience and preparation for the role in an interview with Rediff.

Describing her collaboration with Bhansali, Hydari spoke of his immense passion and knowledge about his craft. She expressed admiration for his genuine love for every aspect of cinema, which she found inspiring. Hydari emphasized the need for complete surrender when working on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set, likening the experience to becoming a sponge, absorbing everything around you.

Hydari revealed an intriguing anecdote about Bhansali's meticulous approach to filmmaking. For a scene requiring a simmering sense of injustice, Bhansali instructed her not to eat beforehand, telling her, "Aaj khana mat khana" (Don't eat today). This unique method helped Hydari embody the character's emotions effectively, highlighting Bhansali's attention to detail and commitment to his vision, Hindustan Times reported.
