Bahraini rapper Flipperachi has entered the Guinness World Records after his 2024 track FA9LA achieved massive global success following its feature in the Bollywood film Dhurandhar. Reported by NDTV.
The song, which originally released in May 2024, witnessed a dramatic surge in popularity after being used during Akshaye Khanna’s striking entry scene in the film. Its high-energy beats and infectious hook quickly turned it into a social media favourite.
FA9LA has now set a new Guinness World Record for topping the highest number of Billboard charts simultaneously. As of January 1, the song was leading four different Arabic Billboard charts.
The milestone was revealed in a surprise moment shared on Instagram, where the Arab Billboard team, along with Guinness World Records Arabia, presented Flipperachi with the official recognition.
Speaking about the song’s sudden rise, Flipperachi acknowledged the crucial role played by Dhurandhar in amplifying its reach. He said, "I was shocked the first time I saw it blowing up on social media.
We suddenly got a deal from over there, and they said they wanted the song FA9LA because it would fit this scene in the movie. They placed it in a scene with an actor who has been off-screen for maybe ten years. Boom, he danced to it and boom."
Although FA9LA had already been released months earlier, its inclusion in the film proved to be a turning point, introducing the track to a much wider audience and propelling it to international fame.
Riding high on this success, Flipperachi has announced his much-awaited India tour, which will begin on March 14 at the UN40 Music Festival in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar premiered on Netflix on January 30 after an impressive box office run, earning over Rs 1300 worldwide.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, and R Madhavan. A sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19.
