Looks
The phone looks really sleek and holds well in the hand. It comes with this unique finish and the cool new logo on the back. The colours available in the market are Midsummer Purple, and Black. –we only have midsummer purple and black for NZ.
Screen:
It has a 6.26-inch LCD screen with a hole-punch front camera. The display has good viewing angles is quite bright. There is no in-display fingerprint sensor, but the sensor is built in the side-mounted power button, which is really fast and accurate.
Buttons & Ports:
There is also a volume rocker switch on the right side, speakers and a USB Type C charging slot on the bottom. Just like most other smartphones, there is no headphone but a USB Type C to 3.5--mm headphone jack adapter comes bundled with the phone.
Processor:
Kirin 980 processor is the same chip that powers Huawei's more expensive flagship phones like P30 and Mate 20 series. This processor offers smooth overall performance, better camera and battery efficiency. If you are a gamer, you will be surprised to see how smoothly games like PUBG run on a phone at this price.
RAM:
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM + 128 GB storage, which combined with Kirin 980 processor, offers terrific performance.
Camera:
Like most Huawei phones, the camera setup on Nova 5T is a big feature. Four cameras on the back and one front-facing camera is really versatile and will also surprise professional photographers. These are Artificial Intelligence-enabled cameras, which enhance your images based on the lighting conditions and scene-setting.
The primary camera on the back is a 48-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, which takes crisp pictures. If you take a lot of pictures in low light conditions, there is an AIS Super Night Mode, which makes low-light photos really bright and sharp.
The second 16-megapixel camera takes some cool ultra-wide angle shots. This helps you cram more of the scene in your image and has 117• fields of vision.
There is a 2 Megapixel camera for close-up macro shots while the fourth 2-megapixel-depth sensor ensures that portrait photography with bokeh effect looks more natural.
32 Megapixel Selfie camera is hidden under the display and has 3D portrait lighting. Artificial Intelligence helps you take super-bright Selfies with enhanced beautification algorithm.
All in all, a very capable camera setup which lets you take sharp and bright images and videos in almost any condition.
