MUMBAI: The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) said it would examine thoroughly the footage of a sting operation in which an ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) player was allegedly caught in a spot fixing scandal.
"Some TV channels have been reporting a story pertaining to alleged unacceptable practices by players participating in the IPL.
"The BCCI will not tolerate any violation of regulations and any act of corruption," BCCI honorary secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a statement.
"The complete footage of the 'sting operation,' will be sought, and examined thoroughly. The GC will meet on an emergent basis to review the footage and take appropriate strict action," he said.
According to "India TV" news channel sting operation, IPL players were shown accepting bribes.
A player was caught in the camera allegedly demanding Rs 40,000 to bowl a no-ball in a particular match.
