Rabindran appointed Solid Energy director

Rabin Rabindran, an Auckland commercial barrister and international legal consultant has been appointed a director of Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd.
Mr Rabindran, who is the chairman of the Bank of India (NZ) Ltd and a director of Auckland Transport brings a range of skills including his extensive experience in strategic planning, risk management, structuring, negotiating and financing major national and international projects in the fields of energy, construction, infrastructure development and transport to the Board.
He has worked on projects in New Zealand and in over 25 other countries, including the World Bank, major corporations both in New Zealand and overseas and acted for Governments, multinationals and local authorities.
“It’s an interesting and challenging time to be appointed a Director of Solid Energy,” Mr Rabindran said.
His other governance roles have included being a director of MBf Carpenters Limited, an Australian public company and representing a major multinational involved with mining, chemicals and oil & gas.
He has also chaired various public hearings panels including the 2012-2015 Regional Land Transport Programme and the Election Signs Bylaw.

Rabin Rabindran, an Auckland commercial barrister and international legal consultant has been appointed a director of Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd.
