Foundation North funding walk-in: Community organisations urged to take advantage

Community organisations and not-for-profits within the Kiwi-Indian community are being urged to take advantage of Foundation North’s funding walk-in in Papatoetoe (Kolmar, Sutton Crescent) on Wednesday, August 16

Foundation North holds in trust for the Auckland and Northland communities an endowment, or putea, of over a billion dollars.

“Our walk-in sessions are created for those who don’t wish to make an appointment – just pop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 12 midday,” Lisa Ridehalgh, Communications Manager, Foundation North said in a press release.

“Our funding advisors can give you information on any of our funding programmes and answer some of those questions that are just too difficult over the phone,” Ms Ridehalgh said.

Foundation North, established in 1988, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2018, and has so far put nearly a billion dollars back into the region.

The support offered by the Foundation is available through various approaches, from a Quick Response Grant for a community group in need of a prompt decision, to Community Grants for larger projects that might be multi-year requests.
