Desi Mela 2018 captivates with a packed musical show

Last weekend, Dilpreet Dhillon, Jenny Johal and Rajvir Jwanda were in Christchurch for the last leg of their Desi Mela tour in New Zealand. After rocking Rotorua and Auckland, they didn’t disappoint the Christchurch crowd either. Organised by Gurjeet Mann, Manpreet Cheema and Malkit Singh, the concert was packed with energy, music and bhangra. Going by the audience reaction at the end of the concert, it can be presumed that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the concert.
The stage was set by Christchurch talent Gurinder Mann followed by the internationally famous singers Dilpreet Singh and Jenny Johal. However, the best was saved for the last. As soon as Rajvir Javanda set foot on stage, he had instant rapport with the audience. The energy and enthusiasm shown by him and everyone else was incredible.
The artists also interacted with the crowd at the end of the show and sang the songs as requested by the audience. The show was well attended by the families and individuals alike. Co-organiser Gurjeet Mann told The Indian Weekender that the show was a big success. He wanted to organise something to appeal to the students community and families alike and through this show he was able to achieve that.
The concert was sponsored by Corianders Indian Restaurant, Car Shine Christchurch, Forever Cars, Spice Bazaar, Thirsty Liquor Papanui, The Bottle O Selwyn Street and The Loft (Mangal Behal) Queenstown. In all, it was one unforgettable night for the audience with everyone leaving with smiles on their faces.
