Missing Indian man found safe in New Plymouth

The 25-year-old Indian man who went missing on Saturday, April 14 has been located safe in New Plymouth.

Jasbinder Singh lives with his relative Sandeep Singh in Papatoetoe who owns a dairy store in South Auckland.

Relative Sandeep Singh last spoke to Jasbinder on Saturday, April 14 at 7:05 p.m. when he mentioned he was at a railway station and will be back home in an hour.

Jasbinder since went missing and did not answer the phone that prompted concerns about his wellbeing in his family.

Jasbinder’s brother who lives in Sydney flew to Auckland on Monday evening and filed a police report for his missing brother.

Jasbinder's family about his wellbeing contacted community members, police and media to get some information on his whereabouts on Tuesday, April 17.

Jasbinder came to New Zealand on a student visa three years ago and studied IT at Unitec. He is currently on an interim visa.

Jasbinder was located safely on Wednesday, April 18 in New Plymouth and is being brought back home today, relative Sandeep Singh confirmed.
