Kiwi Indian dies as makeshift bridge collapses in Istanbul

A Kiwi Indian woman died after falling 10 metres from a makeshift bridge during a rooftop party in Istanbul.
Keshia Handa, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene after she fell from the rooftop, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
A grate placed between the roof of the hotel and the adjacent apartment created a makeshift bridge between the two buildings.
The New Zealand citizen had been living and working in Brisbane for the past six years before she died at the Grand Hotel de Londres, in Istanbul's central Beyoglu district.
Reports differ as to whether Ms Handa was dancing on the grate or whether she simply stepped on it and it gave way.
According to friends, Ms Handa lived in Australia and was travelling the world to attend dance parties. Latin dance was her passion.
She had checked into the hotel along with two friends. The tragedy took place three days before the salsa dance party at the hotel she was going to attend.
Two hundred people were attending the dance party at the hotel when the bridge collapsed.
