This Saturday, 21 February 2015, Auckland Council - in partnership with ATEED, the Southern Initiative, Ministry of Social Development, Auckland Transport, Manukau Institute of Technology and CareersNZ - is hosting JobFest15, a summit designed to hook up young unemployed Aucklanders with employers who have job opportunities.

Around 2000 young unemployed people are expected to attend the event at the MIT Campus on Wiri Station Rd, Manukau and 50 employers will have stands.

As well as doing some serious job hunting and taking part in workshops on CV preparation and having successful job interviews, the young people will be entertained by a variety of acts including soulful Pacific reggae star Sammy Johnson and Two Many Chiefs.

Auckland Mayor Len Brown, Deputy Mayor Penny Hulse, Hon Steven Joyce and Sir Stephen Tindall are attending the event.
