Papatoetoe Family Festival a big success

The Rotary Club Papatoetoe West organised the Family Festival in Papatoetoe on September 5 in collaboration with the Allen Brewster Recreation Centre and Manukau City Council GENESIS unit of NZ Police and the Papatoetoe Community Board.
There were more that 2000 members of community who had fun and gathered information from the Community Organisations who held stalls from 10am to 3pm.
The Indian, Chinese, Kiwi food and icecreams were enjoyed by all just like the cultural performances which were coordinated by Kelab Cave and Des.
There were many Raffle draws won by different community members. The raffles were sponsored by New World Papatoetoe. The Rotarians conveyed their thanks to Nicola Parmenter from the Events team of MCC, Community Advisor Nimi Bedi, Annette Reilly from Allen Brewsyer Recreation Centre and to volunteers Dawn Slater, Ian Morris, Iqbal kaur, Sukhmeen kaur, and kamadeep kaur for their efforts. The Deputy Mayor Manukau Gary Troup and Community Board Chair Stephen Grey congratulated the community for having the successful day which will be the annual feature of Papatoetoe now.
