Kiwi-Indians rally to voice concerns against crime

A rally was organised to voice concerns about ‘Law and Order’ and safety of community people in the country. Victims told their stories and shared their feelings about unsafe environment. All present demanded that the Legislature, Judiciary and the Executive governance of NZ; understand the ground reality and adapt accordingly.All present reiterated that the rally was not against Police inaction - Nor is it for or against any political party. All people wanted is to lobby for harsher penalties for crime and that the offender should be scared of the consequences. Amongst those that were present were the executive of Manukau Indian Association, Secretary Ram Lingam, Media Analyst Roy Kaunds, and community leaders Prithipal Singh, Rishan Naurhia, Balubhai Mistry, Mhanbhai Daya, Narender Singla and about a hundred representatives of various associations and groups. The gathering included a strong contingent from Hamilton.
