NZ General Election Day on September 20

The Prime Minister announced that the 2014 general election will be held on 20 September 2014.
And it won't just be politicians New Zealanders will be voting for with Mr Key also signaling a referendum on changing the New Zealand flag.
Further, September 20, allows eight weeks for a new government to be formed before the G20.
2014 General Election Timetable
The key dates for the general elections are as follows:
Friday 20 June: Regulated period for election advertising expenses begins
Monday 23 June: Launch of enrolment campaign
Thursday 14 August: Dissolution of Parliament
Wednesday 20 August Writ Day: Governor General issues formal direction to the Electoral Commission to hold the election.
Wednesday 3 September: Advance and Overseas Voting starts
Friday 19 September: Advance Voting ends
Saturday 20 September Election Day: Polling places open from 9.00am to 7.00pm.
Election Night: Preliminary results released progressively from 7.00pm onwww.electionresults.govt.nz.
Saturday 4 October: Official results for general election declared (including special declaration votes).
