ASB celebrates Diwali in Style

ASB Bank held its first Diwali function on for New Zealand based members of the Indian community on Thursday 3 November. Attendees included 70 prominent community leaders, as well as business people and professionals from various industries.

The evening began with the Master of Ceremonies, Dev Dhingra, welcoming the guests. He invited Nick Stanhope, General Manager Business Banking; Kerry Boielle, General Manager Premium Customers and Emerging Markets; National Party MP Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi; Labour Party MP Dr Rajen Prasad; and community leaders to participate in a traditional Lighting the Lamp ceremony.

Nick Stanhope opened the programme with Diwali wishes to assembled guests followed by a traditional dance, and then an opening address from Kerry Boielle. ASB Economist Jane Turner provided an economic outlook. The highlight of the evening was a special fashion show by the ASB team.

We also introduced our team of Kiwi and Indian employees from a wide range of fields that are focussed on the Indian segment:
