Indian student shot, hospitalised in Ukraine capital Kyiv

An Indian student has been hospitalised after being shot with a bullet in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. His true identity is unknown at this time.


General VK Singh, Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation, shared the information on Thursday at Rzeszow Airport in Poland.


"The Indian embassy had previously stated that everyone should leave Kyiv as soon as possible. The gun bullet does not consider anyone's religion or nationality in the case of a war "General Singh stated.


In a previous event in Kharkiv, one Indian student was killed by shelling. When Naveen Shekharappa Gyanagoudar, a fourth-year MBBS student at Kharkiv National Medical University, went out to get food, he was struck by a Russian missile.
