The Ministry of Health has released the number of new Covid cases today in the country. NZ has 12011 new Covid cases in the community today - highest ever recorded in a single day. 8223 of the positive results came from Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs), while 3807 were PCR tests.
New Zealand has shifted to phase 3 of its Omicron response plan as a new high of 6137 community cases were reported yesterday.
