Erica Stanford's work in immigration portfolio gets a tick under Luxon's caucus reshuffle

National Party's spokesperson Erica Standford has been promoted to frontbenches under Christopher Luxon's caucus, signalling her work within immigration portfolio and with migrant communities has been noticed within the Party.

Stanford was placed at 22nd rank under previous leader Judith Collins' caucus and has now been elevated to 7th rank and given additional responsibilities of Education and Associate Ethnic Communities.

The news might be well-recieved within the large migrant communities facing the brunt of almost a dysfunctional immigration system, particualrly after the onset of global pandemic, leading an exodus of many skilled migrant workers and causing immesurable pain due to family seperation.

Notedly, Erica Stanford has been working hard to raise government's attention to several anomalies within the immigration system including family union for nurses working onshore, seperated partners due to New Zealand's closed borders.

Simeon Brown & Matt Doocey also gets a promotion.

Some of the other MPs within National caucus that were promoted and included in National's frontbenches included Simeon Brown - who is MP from Luxon's neighbouring electorate Pakuranga and Matt Doocey, who is MP from Waimakariri.

Brown and Doocey were at nineteenth and twentieth position respectively under Judith Collins caucus.

Now they are at number nine and eight respectively, signalling that either their work has been noted and acknoweledged othey might have played key role in bringing numbers to Luxon's side in the pre-leadership jostling between Luxon and Bridges.
