Covid-19: 163 new community cases reported today

There are 163 new community cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand today, including four in Waikato.

There are also four new cases in managed isolation.

Yesterday there were 139 new community cases, with 64 people now in hospital with the coronavirus.

Further testing is under way after Covid-19 was detected in wastewater at Stratford. South Taranaki iwi health provider Ngati Ruanui said it was notified of a strong positive Covid-19 wastewater test result in the town.
