Weddings, Ramayan, and other religious activities on the Hindu religious calendar shall not be organized at the famous Nagigi Naag Temple in Labasa.

However, devotees can pray and give offerings only said temple manager Dhiren Chand.

Nagigi Naag Temple, famous for its Naag (snake god) idol has attracted many devotees all around the world since 1960s.

Like many other places of worship across the country, it opened its doors after five months on Monday.

Nagigi Naag Temple protocols:

• Allowing only 10 people at a time
• Follow usual protocol of masking up, keep distance of at least two meters, sanitize, temperature check
• Only fully vaccinated are allowed entry
• A security officer will be on guard to take body temperature and verify vaccination cards.

Temple priest Pundit Anil Maharaj said he was always available to assist those who needed his assistance in conducting prayers.
