Keen on acting in movies in New Zealand?

Local filmmaker Mirchee Indian TV is setting out to build a “talent base” for its numerous feature length movies, short films, docu-dramas, and advertisements projects it is planning in New Zealand.

“We are looking for all types of people, regardless of age, size, colour or ethnic and cultural background to join the talent base,” Miki Shah, Mirchee TV’s casting manager, said.

Mirchee TV recently completed feature length movie “Pump Up The Mandali”, which is now showing in Fiji and should be opening in New Zealand cinemas later this month.

The company’s other film projects include “First XV” – a sports based drama starring Anupam Kher and New Zealand legend Temuera Morrison in the key roles – “Sab Set Hai”, “Sardar Bada Dildar”, and “If I Had a Million Dollars”.

Shah said “Pump Up The Mandali” was proving to be a hit in Fiji, and would screen in Auckland soon.

He said people in their talent base would get priority for auditions. If interested, contact Bali Virk on 09 625 0070, or email bali@mirchee.co.nz
