A Proud Sikh Youth is ready to serve the NZ Army

A proud moment for all the Sikh pride as NZ Defence welcomes the newest addition to their army named Mansimrat Singh. Mnasimrat Singh an 18 year old is born and bread in a kiwi Indian family from Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab who came to New Zealand in 1998.
A proficient young man who completed his studies from Mclean’s College later received a scholarship from St. kentigern College, Pakuranga. A brilliant student who not only showed his exemplary performance in academics but also excelled in sports becoming a part of Howick and St. Kentigern hockey team playing under 18.
A boy with such brilliant mind and body did not fall behind in Sikh martial art known as Gatka. Making his country and community proud Mansimrat Singh represented Ne Zealand Gatka team in Canada, Australia and India.
‘’ He was a bright student since childhood. Nothing ever folded him back.’’ Mr Manjit Singh ( his uncle) told the Indian Weekender.
A man with vast capabilities and talent has now joined to serve New Zealand Army and is working as System Engineer after graduation from St. kentigern for Regular Force 401.
