Bhartiya Samaj’s new initiative for the community, medicines delivered at doorstep

In a move to adjust to the new normal (different levels of lockdowns), Bharatiya Samaj Charitable Trust has started a new initiative that gets prescribed medicines for the community, especially senior citizens, dropped at their doorsteps.
Bhartiya Samaj has collaborated with PillDrop (NZ), which will bring community members a new and modern way to manage their daily medications.
“We constantly strive to explore ways of easy and comfortable living for the community, and by collaborating with PillDrop, we endeavour to provide a complete pharmacy experience to the community with a secure and easy way to get prescribed/funded medicines delivered at doorstep p free of cost,” a spokesperson from Bhartiya Samaj told The Indian Weekender.
All the medicines are packed into personalised sachets, and these sachets are rolled up and packed in a dispenser to ensure that the patient does not have to handle multiple medicine bottles.
“All one needs is a smartphone and prescription to order medicines at any time of the day. Once PillDrop receives the order, details of the person including contact and address, it will readily arrange for delivery at the doorstep,” the spokesperson said.
This service is entirely free for all senior citizens and individuals taking at least four routine medicines.
“PillDrop approached us recently to collaborate, and upon much deliberation and discussion within the team, we decided that this venture will be very beneficial for our community members, especially senior citizens, and we finally signed up with them.
“With this new initiative, we add another feather on Bhartiya Samaj’s cap, and we add another service that will benefit the community immensely,” Jeet Suchdev, Chairperson of Bhartiya Samaj, told The Indian Weekender.
