US flag burnt in Kolkata

Kolkata: A group of people, including Muslim clerics, burned the flag of the United States in Kolkata on the occasion of Eid to lodge protest against the US' policies.
In the US, a pastor who had planned to burn copies of the Holy Koran to mark the 9/11 anniversary finally called off the protest plan.
US President Obama has said America is not at war with Islam but the terrorists. He greeted Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid was celebrated peacefully throughout India. Mumbai had been placed on high alert amid reports that two terrorists had sneaked into the country to foment trouble on Saturday when the Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid celebrations fell on the same day.
Releasing photographs of the duo, Mumbai Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Himanshu Roy told reporters, “Both of them are of foreign origin. We believe they have entered the city to cause disruption at religious congregations and crowded places."
"The two people are Kalimuddin Khan aka Rameshwar Pandit and Hafiz Sharif.”
"Should they be spotted then please inform nearest police station," Roy added.
Over 43,000 police personnel have been deployed across Mumbai. Vigilance has been increased at railway stations; guesthouses and hotels have been asked to increase security and maintain proper records of their guests.
