OFBJP NZ host ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ in Auckland

Approximately 150 members of the Indian community gathered at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Auckland at the ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ event organised by the Overseas Friends of BJP in New Zealand.

‘Chai Pe Charcha’, is a popular style of conversation started by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss certain subjects of issue and concerns over a cup of tea.

Following the same model in New Zealand, members and subscribers of the OFBJP in New Zealand gathered on Sunday, April 14 to discuss about the current Lok Sabha elections in India and their views and support towards BJP and its leader Narendra Modi.

The conference was convened by New Delhi based Dr Ashwin Johar, Chairman of Foreign Investment and NRI Cell of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

Eagerly waiting 150 people, including many seniors and retired members of the Indian community, voiced their support why BJP should be in government once again after the 2019 elections.

Overwhelming support for the policies of BJP government and the developments it brought in India over the last five years were echoed at the ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ event.

Overseas Citizens of India also voiced their love for India and said that even though they are away from their motherland, their emotions are still attached and they will render their undying support to their country.

Among those present on the occasion, key were Vinod Kumar, Dev Bharadwaj, Soman Mittal and Akash Rawal.
