“There was an incident of air violation on 16th March, 2012 when two Chinese helicopters were observed flying on Indian side of International border in Himachal Pradesh,” Antony said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
“There have been two such incidents, on 16th and 19th March, 2012, by Chinese helicopters during the last one year,” he said.
He said incidents of transgressions and intrusions were taken up with the Chinese side through established mechanisms such as Hot Lines, Flag Meetings, Border Personnel Meetings and normal diplomatic channels.
These mechanisms facilitated maintenance of peace, he said
