26/11: 8 men arrested from Spain

Barcelona: Eight people, including seven Pakistani, have been arrested from Barcelona, the second largest city of Spain, for their suspected links to the Mumbai Terror Attacks, reports said on Wednesday.

According to reports, seven Pakistani men were nabbed on Tuesday, while a North African man was taken into custody on Wednesday morning.

The men allegedly provided fake documents and funds to banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Pakistan.

Police sources said the documents and money were used to mastermind the 26/11.

On November 26, 2008, pockets of Mumbai, including the iconic Taj Mahal hotel, were attacked by 10 Pakistani terrorists.

The strike lasted for over 60 hours and left at least 166 people dead and over 200 injured.

The lone surviving terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who was later arrested, has been sentenced to death.

His appeal against the conviction is now being heard by the Mumbai High Court.
