Guangzhou: India completed a golden double by winning the gold medal in both the men's and women's kabaddi competition in the Asian Games here on Friday.
The women's team won 28-14 against Thailand in the finals to win the 11th gold for India on the 14th day of the ongoing Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
The Indian women dominated the match from the very beginning, leading by 17-7 at half-time.
The second half had also the same result with the Indian women pinning the Thailand players on the ground.
Later in the day the men's team won gold for the sixth consecutive. They beat Iran 37-20 and maintained their winning streak in the sport since its introduction in 1990. Their win took India's gold medals tally to 12.
