A luxury private jet that has fascinated aviation enthusiasts around the world has arrived in Queenstown after an eye-catching journey across New Zealand.

According to a report by Stuff, the aircraft, a Boeing 737-700 Business Jet registered as M-NWVM, is a far cry from a standard commercial airliner. Designed for VIP travel, the aircraft features a custom interior and is available for charter by high-profile and ultra-wealthy clients.

New call-to-action

Its movements across New Zealand have attracted significant attention online, with thousands of flight trackers and planespotters following its route in real time.

After departing Wellington on Friday morning, the aircraft initially appeared to be heading towards Christchurch. However, it bypassed the city and instead continued directly to Queenstown, Stuff has quoted.

Adding to the intrigue, the jet performed a dramatic turn while approaching Queenstown before safely landing, a manoeuvre that quickly caught the attention of aviation watchers monitoring the flight.

The aircraft first entered service in 2007 under the registration VQ-BLX and was previously operated by Gama Aviation, a company known for serving royal families, government leaders and some of the world's wealthiest individuals, as reported by Stuff.

While details of its current interior configuration are not publicly available, the jet was previously fitted to accommodate just 10 passengers in luxury. The onboard layout reportedly included several beds, including a king-sized bed, Stuff has reported.

The aircraft is no stranger to New Zealand skies. Before departing Wellington for the South Island, it also completed a brief loop around the capital, further fueling interest among those tracking its journey.

Its latest visit has once again turned the luxury jet into one of the most-watched aircraft online, with aviation enthusiasts closely following every move, as reported by Stuff.
