One person has died, and two others are injured after a three-vehicle crash on the Waikato Expressway.
Police said the crash happened at Pōkeno shortly before 7 pm.
One person died at the scene.
Two other people were injured in the crash - one with critical injuries and one with moderate injuries.
Police said the Waikato Expressway was closed southbound between Great South Road and Pioneer Road, and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
