One person has been arrested following a shooting in Raglan on Saturday morning that left another person with minor injuries.

Police were called to reports of a firearm incident near Whaanga Rd at about 8.45 am after receiving information that a person had been shot.

“The victim received minor injuries and has been assessed by ambulance,” a police spokesperson said, as quoted by Stuff.

Police confirmed that one person has been taken into custody in connection with the incident and reassured the public that there is no ongoing safety risk, Stuff has reported.
