According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial crossed the Rs 10 crore mark on its second day. After opening with an estimated Rs 8.5 crore on Friday, the film’s earnings rose to approximately Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday, which coincided with Valentine’s Day.
With this growth, the film’s all-India net collection now stands at an estimated Rs 20.75 crore, positioning it for a strong opening weekend at the box office.
Worldwide Box Office Collections
At the Indian box office, ‘O’ Romeo’ has grossed around Rs 24.6 crore. Adding approximately Rs 2 crore from overseas markets, the film’s worldwide total has reached Rs 26.6 crore.
The collections suggest that the film is performing better than initially anticipated. Advance booking trends had indicated an opening in the Rs 5 crore range, but positive word of mouth appears to have boosted ticket sales significantly.
Outperforming Other Releases
With over Rs 12 crore collected on Saturday alone, ‘O’ Romeo’ has outpaced other films currently running in theatres. It comfortably surpassed the fourth-week earnings of ‘Border 2’, which collected around Rs 1.90 crore on Saturday.
Meanwhile, ‘Tu Yaa Main’, another film competing at the box office, earned an estimated Rs 1.4 crore on Saturday, taking its total weekend collection to about Rs 2 crore.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, ‘O’ Romeo’ also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, and Farida Jalal in key roles.
