Indian Consulate Hosts 2nd Open House To Resolve Pending Cases

The Consulate of India in Auckland has once again opened its doors for a second Open House on 1st June from 10:30 to 12:30 to resolve and take up grievances of applicants.
“Only genuine applicants whose applications were received by the Consulate in Auckland before 1st May 2025 and have not been processed can visit the Consulate,” it clarified.
Those who fit the criteria should visit the Consulate at Level 14, 151 Queen Street, Auckland 1010 on 1st June (Sunday).
The Consulate invited applicants for the first time to visit their office for assistance on last Saturday, 24th May 2025.
“Around 145 applicants attended the Open House for resolution of their grievances in respect of various services,” the Consulate of India informed The Indian Weekender.
“Around 65 cases were resolved on the spot,” it added.
It said that there were many incomplete applications which were completed for further processing.
Taking this further, the Indian Consulate has decided to host a second Open House.
It becomes important to note that the Consulate will shift to a new office viz. Level 14, 151 Queen Street, Auckland 1010 with effect from 1st June 2025.
No new applications will be received during the Open House.
“Only previously pending applications received by the Consulate before 1st May 2025 will be taken up for resolution,” the statement added.
Applicants for renewal of passports / PCC (Indian Passport Holder) / Surrender of Passport are advised to log in at the portal (https://portal6.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html) to check the status of their application before visiting the Consulate in person.
There is no need for registration to attend the Open House.
While mobile phones are allowed, applicants are requested to switch them off and not to speak loudly during their presence in the premises.

Those who cannot visit themselves can send a nominee. Applicants should come prepared to wait for some time.
