Four people have been injured after a group reportedly arrived at a party in Auckland armed with machetes on Friday night.

Emergency services, including police, firefighters and ambulance crews, were called to the scene on Phyllis St in Mt Albert at around 9.24 pm.

According to a report by Caroline Williams, Ricky Wilson and Eva Gallot of Stuff, a Hato Hone St John spokesperson confirmed that four people were transported to Auckland City Hospital, with three sustaining moderate injuries and one in a serious condition.

Witnesses told Stuff that a group carrying machetes turned up at the gathering, which was being held at an Airbnb property. It is understood that between 70 and 100 people were at the party.

A Stuff reporter at the scene described seeing “dozens” of teenagers present, as reported by Stuff.

The aftermath left signs of disorder on the street, with smashed alcohol bottles and makeup scattered across the road.

Police have been approached for comment.
