‘Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal’ first look out

The makers of Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal unveiled the film’s first look on Thursday, giving audiences an early glimpse into the ambitious mythological epic based on the life of Lord Hanuman. Reported by NDTV. 

The first-look video, released across social media platforms, sets the tone and scale of the project, drawing deeply from Indian mythology and highlighting the enduring legacy of one of the most revered figures of the Ramayana.

The film is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Rajesh Mapuskar, who is known for his distinctive storytelling and sensitivity towards culturally rooted narratives. With this project, Mapuskar steps into a new creative space that blends mythology with cutting-edge technology.

Sharing his thoughts on joining the project, Mapuskar described the experience as both exciting and challenging. “Taking on a project that so fearlessly embraces innovation is both thrilling and daunting.

I love exploring various genres in cinema, and telling a story using progressive technology like generative AI is very exciting for me. The story of Lord Hanuman is timeless, filled with strength, devotion and purpose, and it is a rare opportunity to helm a film that both honours India's spiritual heritage and pioneers the future of filmmaking.

I am excited to join hands with Vikram and Vijay to explore storytelling in a completely new dimension and eternally thankful to be given this opportunity,” Rajesh Mapuskar said, as quoted in a press note.

According to an earlier press release from the makers, Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal is being developed as India’s first AI-powered theatrical film.

The project reportedly involves more than 50 engineers from Galleri5, the technology arm of Collective Artists Network, who are working closely with cultural scholars, literary experts, and writers to ensure authenticity and respect for the source material.

The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment in collaboration with Collective Media Network’s Historyverse. Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Hanuman Jayanti in 2026, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of Indian cinema.
