Actor Ananya Panday has been earning praise for her recent choice of projects and is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, in which she stars opposite Kartik Aaryan. Reported by TOI.
Amid promotions, the actress has spoken candidly about body positivity, self-acceptance, and listening to one’s own body.
In an interview with Brut India, Ananya shared that she has always been open about embracing oneself at every stage. She said, “I have always been very, very vocal about the fact that we have to have a very strong sense of self and be confident in whatever shape and size we are.
As a girl, you go through so many changes in your body. It’s like every month, you have your periods and you feel bloated. There are so many different phases we go through, so I have always been open about it."
Offering a glimpse into her everyday mindset, the actor spoke about prioritising comfort and honesty over appearances. “Like today, I have my period, so I was like, I don’t want to wear anything too tight. I’m just going to be in jeans and will try to be as chill as possible. I speak very honestly about how I’m feeling. I don’t get into over-editing photos or touching them up," she added.
Ananya also addressed perceptions around fitness and physical transformation for roles, explaining that her discipline changes depending on professional demands.
“When it comes to the film Tu Meri Main Tera, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you look so fit,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I worked for it. It’s not like I am naturally like that.’ I had to follow a very strict diet, and I was working out every single day. Now I don’t have to be a certain way for a role, so I’m enjoying my food."
The trailer of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri introduces two individuals who meet while vacationing at the same destination.
What begins as a light-hearted friendship gradually turns into love, with emotional twists adding depth to their relationship. The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously collaborated with Kartik Aaryan on Satyaprem Ki Katha.
