Indian man dies in-flight on his way back home from Auckland

A 25-year-old Indian man travelling to India from Auckland suffered a heart attack mid-air and passed away.
Beant Singh came to New Zealand three years ago on spouse visa was travelling to meet his family in Moga district of Punjab, India.
Mr Singh aboard Hong Kong Airlines suffered a heart attack and was given a medical facility by a doctor travelling in the plane. The flight made an emergency landing at Darwin Airport in Australia but he could not be saved.
As per reports, Mr Singh has two sisters, one of whom is studying in New Zealand. The airport authorities informed Mr Singh’s family back in Punjab of his demise at 5:30 a.m. (New Zealand time) this morning. Mr Singh was scheduled to reach New Delhi at 3 a.m. (India time) from where he planned his onward journey back home in Punjab.
