Short feature film conveying the symbolic message of God at Hills Church

Hills Church in Hillsborough earlier last month invited community members from different ethnicities and walks of life for the screening of a special short feature film conveying the symbolic message of God.

“My Son…Mera Beta” a short film shot and produced in Mumbai under Trinity Studios owned by Anil Kant played the movie as a message for the devotees, irrespective of any religion with the message of coming back to the Creator for guidance and wisdom.

The film is based on a relationship between a father and his rebellious young son recklessly spends his family’s riches and goes astray only to realise his mistake and the value of his father’s love. This makes him come back to his father and repent for his mistakes and his plead to reconciliation with his family.

The symbolic message that the film gives to the audience is to come back to the creator, god, and repent for the past sins, reconciliation and walk the path set by God.

The film screening took place on Saturday, July 28 after 6:30 p.m. hosted by the maker of the film and current Pastor of the Hill Church Anil Kant and his wife, Reena Kant. This also gave the attendees an opportunity to make their prayers, sing hymns and connect with one another at the event.

The film has been screened in UK, USA, Canada, Dubai and Australia as also in different parts of India. The film will be soon released on social media.

Pastor Anil Kant is an accomplished singer, composer, lyricist and music director who earlier lived in Mumbai and has visited New Zealand several times in the past to attend and host several community events. Mr Kant has achieved international acclaim as a singer, songwriter and a music composer having recorded and released more than 20 worship albums in the last 17 years, most of his songs are widely used by people around the world.

Mr Kant started ministering as a Pastor in 2007 and has been travelling around the world as an independent Evangelist and Gospel singer, to worship in collaboration with multicultural and ethnic churches, conducting, participating and interacting with people in concerts, workshops, seminars, group meetings and outreaches.

The church conducts a prayer service for the communities every Sunday and the next big event planned at the church is ‘Ruh Ki Baarish’, an evening of spiritual songs and prayer in September.
