Police has released the name of the woman killed in the single-car crash on State Highway 14 at Maungatapere on Saturday, December 23.
The woman was identified as 64-year-old Fijian national Lalita Devi.
The accident occurred at around 5:45 p.m. Near Kara Road, on SH14, Maungatapere, Northland. Three other people were injured in the crash; their injuries ranged from moderate to serious.
Ms Devi was a passenger in the car.
Police’s thoughts are with her family at this time. The Serious Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
