NZ's biggest Kite Festival returns in its 12th year

Vaishnav Parivar (NZ) Inc. (VPNZ) will celebrate 12th Kite Festival on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, at Eastdale Reserve, Avondale.

The biggest kite festival in New Zealand will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018, from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm. This year, it will be celebrated on the same day as it will be in India and New Zealand will be the first country in the world to celebrate it this year.

The venue is located next to Avondale College on Rosebank Road, Avondale.

All preparations are almost complete to host the event. VPNZ has imported kites and threads from India which will be on sale to the public at the Festival.

In addition, there would be several food stalls, ice cream, ice gola and kulfi stalls as well as entertainment for children in the form of fun rides and slides, face painting and drawing competition.

Live cultural performances will be one of the many attractions at the cultural programs of the festival.

Also, you would be able to buy a $5.00 raffle ticket at the festival to win Gold Coast holiday package for 2 including 4-day accommodation, and many more attractive prizes. At 6.15 pm, you would be able to take part in an auction for Slumberzone Deluxe Bed.
