A young Indian man has died after being hit by the rubbish truck in Tuakau, Waikato.
Kamal Singh was a rubbish collection worker, and as per initial reports by the police he fell off the truck and died after being run over by it.
The accident took place on Alexandra Redoubt Road shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 14. Kamal’s family has been notified of the incident.
The Serious Crash Unit came to the scene after the accident and WorkSafe NZ has been notified.
