Filming of NZ’s first Telugu language film to start next week

‘7-Steps’ or 'Edu Adugulu' will be made under the banner of Moksh movies and is directed by Santosh Tukkapuram.
The shoot will commence in early October that includes exotic locations of New Zealand such as Queenstown, Rotorua and Auckland.
7 Adughulu is directed by Santhosh Tukkapuram who has vast experience in filmmaking in India and New Zealand.
Santhosh is a professional ad film and corporate filmmaker from Hyderabad, and also has directed 20 minutes’ short film in Auckland with New Zealand crews and cast tilted ‘The Dark Humor’.
He has also directed two Punjabi music videos which have been shot in Auckland and is presently working as a freelance director and video editor for an Indian television channel in Auckland.
Abijeet Duddala, a famous face of the Tollywood industry is playing the lead character in the film. Abijeet has worked in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Life is beautiful’ directed by renowned filmmaker Shekar Kammula.
Meghana, a popular face on the small screen who has anchored TV shows will be the female lead of the film.
The other supporting roles played by prominent faces of Tollywood industry, Tollywood comedy actor Vennela Kishore, Manoj Nadhan, who started his career as a child artiste will also be an integral part of the cast.
The film revolves around the vows of marriage that a couple makes to each other. 7 Adughulu is a mature love story which tells the prominence of marriage institution and the value of the vows taken at the time marriage. It is a beautiful love story between a Telugu boy who is a citizen of New Zealand and an immigrant Telugu girl who qualifying for her Masters in the country.
The film’s cinematography is by Dheeraj Tamineni who has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu cinema.
The music for this film is scored by Raghuram who is also a singer and has scored music for several Telugu films including his keyboard background score for the recent magnum opus Baahubali.
This movie is scheduled for shooting from October first week to mid-November in an outstretched schedule where the major portion of the film will be finished, and remaining scenes will be shot in Hyderabad, India.
In New Zealand, the film will be shot in Auckland, Rotorua, Whakatane, 90 Mile Beach, Cape Reinga beach and also in some beautiful locations of the South Island.
The opening of the film was done at Ramanaidu Studios at Hyderabad in July. The trailer will be unveiled in December and the movie will be released in January 2018.
