Amit Kumar fans in Auckland will be able to watch the May 1 show at discounted rates – if they buy their tickets early.
Show organizer Gopal Bhatia told the Indian Weekender that discounted rates were being offered to “earlybird” buyers who would be able to get the best seats cheaper if they bought their tickets by March 31 at the latest.
Gopal, who is also a prominent singer and Radio Tarana presenter, said the earlybird discount was offered only up to March 31, which was $5 off on any ticket you bought.
“So $35 becomes $30 (reserved) and $30 becomes $25 (general), and VIP $50 becomes $45.
“I have always been striving to offer the best of best in respect of any shows either on Radio Tarana or my live international shows to my listeners, supporters and all music lovers.
“The above discounts have been offered to facilitate and encourage people to come and witness the show at very affordable price which is always a concern for families. Therefore, I would request one and all to avail of this discount as per the given dates.”
Amit Kumar, son of legendary Kishore Kumar, will perform in a one-off concert – called Yeh Zameen Ga Rahi Hai - at the Logan Campbell Centre on May 1.
Gopal, who will also be singing on the same programme, said the show was titled such because that was the theme – a celebration of Amit Kumar and R D Burman’s music.
Yeh Zameen Ga Rahi Hai is from the hit 80s movie Teri Kasam, starring Kumar Gaurav who is pictured singing the lilting number on a misty mountain top.
Tickets can be booked by calling 09 624-6330, and tickets must be picked up between March 20 and March 31 only, tickets picked up after this date will not qualify for any discount.
