We are geared up and ready to go: Andrew Little

Leader of Opposition Andrew Little has commended John Key for serving New Zealand “generously and with dedication” as the Prime Minister and said that Labour is ready for 2017 elections.
“The Prime Minister has served New Zealand through times of considerable global instability, and will leave politics proud of his achievements. I wish him and his family the best for the future,” Little said this afternoon.
“Although we may have had our policy differences over the years, I respect the Prime Minister’s decision to stand down.
“I can empathise with his reasons. Politics requires much sacrifice. We may all be politicians, but not all our lives are politics,” he added.
Mr Little said that Labour party is ready to go for the 2017 general elections and he’s ready to stand against any candidate from National.
“I am very pleased at Labour’s ability to campaign solidly, to campaign on issues that I know New Zealanders care about, and to win.
“My job as the leader of Labour party is to make sure that my party is geared up and ready to go, and I am geared up and ready to go.”
