5.4 magnitude strong quake hits Hawke's Bay

A 5.4 strong earthquake hit the Hawke's Bay region at about 1.20 p.m. 70 km south-east of Porangahau. 

This is very much in line with Geonet's previous warning issued after the 7.8M Kaikoura Earthquake stating that there are 95% chances of aftershocks in the next 30 days. 

Any details of property damage or injuries have yet not been reported. 

More details are awaited.
