This is the second major incident related to Indian children in the day care centres in Auckland after a tree fell on a New Market based centre couple of weeks earlier.

Unfortunately, this time there was no luck for the hapless child.
The police reported that just after 2pm today police were called to a child care facility in Takapuna.
We can confirm that a three-year-old child has died following what appears to be a tragic accident.
Detective Sergeant Ross Clapp says early indications are that the child has died following an accident on playground equipment however police are still working to establish the full circumstances of what has occurred.
The child’s family has been advised and will be supported by police and Victim Support.
WorkSafe New Zealand has been advised.
A number of parents, many of them looking distressed, arrived to collect their children.
Staff members were expectedly stressed and doing their best to speak with other visiting parents.
More details on the tragic incident are awaited.
It is too early at this stage for police to comment on specifics of what has occurred.
