WANTED: Ethnic and women police officers
Waitakere Ethnic Board will be hosting a free information evening on how to join the NZ Police at the Waitakere Community Resource Centre 8 Ratanui Street, Henderson 0650 (across the street from the Waitakere District Court) at 6:00 p.m. on the July 19, 2016.
The New Zealand Police wants to recruit more ethnic and women police officers.
Mandeep Kaur Sidhu who is the new ethnic liaison officer for West Auckland would love to meet you and help you get up to speed on the physical fitness side of things, such as running and swimming. If that is what is holding you back from considering this option as a career choice, then she is willing to help mentor you.
There will also be a literacy expert to talk about what is involved in the theory side (written exams) of the job. There will be a recruitment specialist from NZ Police who will be assisting you in your queries.
